![]() They followed it up the next year with another dive into a sort of avant garde-hippyism in HOT WACKS, which featured Segarini's "Windy Days", Bishop's "I Got My Friends" and remakes of "New York City" and "Rock and Roll Circus", which the 2 wrote while with Roxy in 1970. Following another extensive schedule on the road, the band started work on the next project. Recorded in Toronto, SHREDDER was released in 1973 and featured a moderate change in direction with "Day and Night", "Beach Song" and "Last Dance" as well as guest sessions from drummer Jerry Mercer. The band hit the road again in time for the summer schedule and worked on new material. They went back to the studios in '74 and recorded the demos to what was tentatively to be titled WACK AND ROLL. But problems behind the Elektra's doors caused the scrapping of it - as well as the eventual demise of the group. Segarini and Trochim would then form The Dudes, with original April Wine members David & Ritchie Henman and future member Brian Greenway for one album. Segarini would then go on to a successful solo career through the rest of the decade, then drop out of public sight for the next decade and a half amid creative differences with the industry 'know it all's' . He's kept busy with a Toronto radio show, commercial and session work and still showing up regularly live around the circuit. The re-release of 2 of his solo albums and The Dudes in the mid 90's prompted his re-teaming with Dudes-mate David Henman in '97 to form Cats & Dogs. Bishop would go on to a successful career both as a solo artist and one a session player, while Jerry Mercer would go on to currently over 25 years with April Wine.
